The two examples above are video edits I created for a local client in Charlotte. The first example, on the left, is a short monthly video that I edit, which is then distributed to their clients via email. For each edit, I also create a simple thumbnail and provide a transcript as part of the deliverable package. The second example, on the right, is an episode of their podcast, "Planning Made Simple." For this project, I edit the raw content to produce both video and audio versions of the podcast. Additionally, I manage the podcast distribution, create thumbnails, and oversee the editorial calendar. This content was created using the Adobe suite. Furthermore, I consulted with this client to help set up their studio, advised them on best practices, and guided them on using OBS and other software and hardware for content creation.
Here are two examples of the Walk a Mile Podcast. The first example, on the left, is a teaser edit intended for Facebook or LinkedIn. The other, on the right, is a complete video episode. This was a unique and enjoyable podcast where the guest and host walk outside while being filmed and recorded using four audio sources (2 lav mics, 1 handheld mic, and 1 camera mic). To create an edit for this podcast, I received notes from the producer and host, but I was also expected to make my own editorial decisions. Initially, I was provided with about an hour of interview footage and b-roll and was expected to create an edit that was between 5-10 minutes long. During the process, the host would provide a voice-over that I integrated into the footage.
This project is an example of my ability to work with a team, receive feedback, and create deliverables based on client notes. The motion graphics, branding, and theme music were supplied by the producer. In addition to editing and mixing, I also created captions upon the client's request and performed some light color grading for both examples. The edits were created using Adobe Premiere and Audition.
